Wons Phreely is hitting the road with Youth Group & Cloud Control
Wons Phreely is no ordinary solo artist. He is a drum machine-wielding, electric guitar-swinging, sampler-toting punk poet with a knack for writing catchy pop. No matter how you define his genre, one thing is for sure Wons Phreely is one of Australia's most original song dudes.
Now Wons is travelling again. Armed with all his gadgets and a couple of loop pedals Wons Phreely is hitting the road with Youth Group and Cloud Control. Check him out at the dates below.

PhDJ Plays Club NME London this Friday
As you already know PhDJ is in the UK at the moment.
The past couple of weeks he has been touring around with SPARKADIA and they have amongst others hit Glastonbury and O2 Wireless festivals where they have rubbed shoulders with HOT CHIP, IAN BROWN and BORIS BECKER. Last weekend PhDJ even had a close encounter with AMY WINEHOUSE at a notorious kebab joint. Now it’s time for PhDJ to play some dates of his own. The coming week sees PhDJ play Club NME at Koko in Camden, The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch, The Social in Soho and The Barfly in Camden, talk about a series of hipster gigs.

Dept. (pronounced "diˈpärtmənt") is the odd but superb musical alliance of superdude PhDJ and supernerd Black Anthony.
The two met in a dark Chinatown alley one night when their "guns, b*tches and bling" lifestyles came to a grinding halt. Both finding themselves victims of a Sydney-wide triad hoax to lure wiggas into dark alleys, they teamed up back to back to defend themselves and each other from the cruel intentions of the kickboxing mafia. Possessing neither buff physique nor any deft martial-art-like manoeuvres, the two wannabes had their respective and collective asses kicked. Each decided there and then that the gangsta lifestyle was no longer for them, and instead, the bespectacled duo donned lab coats and embarked on kicking a different kinda ass... Music production ass!
Having so far reworked tracks for Sparkadia, Bluejuice and The Dirty Secrets, with forthcoming remixes for US dance act Walter Meego and buzzing locals the Jezabels and the Holidays, the duo's portfolio is beginning to take some serious shape (unlike their biceps).
‘Devils Inside' (the Dept. remix) is Perth indie dance band The Dirty Secrets' next single. It follows on from their previous single "Five Feet of Snow", which after high-rotation on JJJ has recently been added to Nova's playlist. Miami Horror's remix of "Five Feet of Snow" was a big underground club hit and we expect the Dept. remix of "Devil's Inside" to do much the same.
