Boundary Sounds

The past couple of weeks he has been touring around with SPARKADIA and they have amongst others hit Glastonbury and O2 Wireless festivals where they have rubbed shoulders with HOT CHIP, IAN BROWN and BORIS BECKER. Last weekend PhDJ even had a close encounter with AMY WINEHOUSE at a notorious kebab joint. Now it’s time for PhDJ to play some dates of his own. The coming week sees PhDJ play Club NME at Koko in Camden, The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch, The Social in Soho and The Barfly in Camden, talk about a series of hipster gigs. 

Los Angeles-based superstar DJ to the Superstars DJ AM (you know, the guy who was engaged to Nicole Ritchie, dated Mandy Moore, owns a little club called LAX) is in town for a social visit and he wanted a party. So who did he ask to throw a party for him and his hombres?? Two of Sydney's most notorious party-throwers of course - the compadres of party PhDJ and Kato.

Kato and PhDJ have invited some of their best buddies to man and woman the decks as warm up to the Sneaker Freaker DJ AM himself (did you know that he owns over 600 pairs of Nikes?? You do now!!). Club 77 on Tuesday June 3 will see DJ AM, Kato, PhDJ, Tha Fizz, Sleater Brockman, Vivienne Kingswood and Bad Ezzy hit the decks at Club 77 for a free. Yeah man, we said FREE! This will be the hipster party to end all hipster parties!!! Come on, there's nothing on Tuesdays, so if this mofo isn't packed then PhDJ will actually eat his original 1993 Chicago Bulls cap!

PhDJ is out and about touring again this week. On Thursday he is playing at Canberra's newest indie club called ‘Cooler Than Carnaby', which is at PJ O'Reilly's in the city. Then on Friday he joins his buddies from bluejuice and The Paper Scissors on stage at Transit Bar in Canberra as well. Then the following morning they all get on that smelly tour bus and drive to Melbourne to play at the East Brunswick Club and after that they hit the official after-party where PhDJ will be spinning and grinning at Weekender at Ding Dong Lounge.
